Enrolment procedure

• BETWEEN MONDAY 31 MARCH and FRIDAY 25 APRIL, you can register your child online
  on the website: https://meldjeaansecundair.antwerpen.be/. Make sure you put our school at number 1. This will give you the best chance of actually enrolling in our school.
• On THURSDAY MAY 15, parents will receive an e-mail and a message in their account on the “Meldjeaan” website telling them if you can enroll your child and in which school.
• From TUESDAY MAY 20, 9am, enrollments will start with a ticket from ‘Meldjeaan’. Every parent of every child ticketed to our school will receive an email from our school on TUESDAY MAY 20 around 9am with the enrollment info.
• If our school was not in your drop-down list when you signed up in ‘Meldjeaan’ and you still might want to enroll in our school? Then you can register your child on the waiting list starting THURSDAY MAY 20, 9am. For this, one of the parents must come to school. A secretary will then add your data to the waiting list of ‘Register’. Please remember to bring your child’s ID card.

We would like to invite parents with a ticket to our school in advance to come and register on SATURDAY MAY 24 from 10:00 am to 2:00 pm. Do not forget to bring your child’s ID card, your child’s last report card and your child.

Priority?

All students register at the same time but siblings and children of staff remain priority groups.

Are you entitled to priority?

Then always apply for that school, this way you can be sure of a place. If this is not your favorite school, then place this school lower on your preference list. So you can also apply at the same time for schools where you have no right to priority. You retain your right to priority unless you are assigned a place in a school higher on your preferred list.

Would you like to enroll in a field of study in 2nd through 7th grade?

You can enroll your child at school at the following times:

• On Tuesday, April 22, 2025 from 9 a.m. to 12:30 p.m.
• From Thursday, April 24, 2025 to Friday, June 20, 2025:
  • Every Tuesday from 9:30 a.m. to 11:30 a.m.
  • Every Thursday from 2 p.m. to 4 p.m.

Registration cannot be made by phone. Do not forget to bring your identity card, last report card and your child. 

Procedure

1. Sign up at the Pupil Secretariat.
2. A secretary will first check if we have spots available.
3. If there are free spots, we will arrange enrollment immediately.
4. If there is no room for the time being, you will be placed on the waiting list.
   • A secretary will fill out a form with your data.
   • You will also receive a refusal certificate.
   • Once a place becomes available, the school will contact you.

   • The waiting list is strictly followed by an order of priority of date and time of enrollment.

Enrollment for OKAN classes is through Atlas. Please make an appointment to enroll your child or contact our school, we will be happy to assist you.

The school partners with Studieshop and opts for home delivery. The book package will be shipped to the address you provide, not to the school.

You must order your books yourself at https://www.studieshop.be/

• You can find a handy guide, to order your book package easily and correctly, at https://www.studieshop.be/c/hoe-moet-ik-bestellen.
• Using screen examples, they will guide you through the registration, ordering and payment steps. If you ordered the books before July 15th, your package will certainly be delivered in time for the start of the school year.
• All books that are required, and not yet owned by the student, are checked off as rental books by default on the ordering site. You have the choice of leaving this in place or purchasing the books.
• Please note: It is possible that not all books from the book list are available yet before the start of the school year. It is therefore possible that the first package you receive is not complete. As soon as the missing books are available, they will be redelivered.
