About this discipline

Elon Musk (Tesla), Steve Jobs (Apple), Marc Zuckerberg (Facebook),… they are or were all leaders of large companies. But also Vincent Kompany, Kim Kardashian, Niels Destadsbader,… are not just celebrities, but entrepreneurs. They have their own products, their own brands and their own companies. Even your hairdresser or the baker around the corner are people who once started their own business with wild and/or original ideas. Maybe even to conquer the world.

The world does not only need entrepreneurs. Someone has to make the products go around the world. Someone like you, with a talent for organisation. You draw up plans to get that coffee from Ethiopia, those kiwis from New Zealand and those bananas from Colombia into the local supermarket. You make sure that the new shipment of iPhones arrives at Mediamarkt without a hitch. You make the world so much smaller!

You’ll need to choose between the options of business management or logistics management in the fourth year. In the third year, you can try ou both courses.
After the second grade in ‘Business and Organisation’ you can choose between the course Business Organisation or International Trade and Logistics in the third grade.

AND AFTER THIS COURSE?

In the 4th year (sophomore year in U.S. and yaer 11 in UK) you’ll need to choose between the options of business management or logistics management. During your third year, you can try out both courses.
After the second grade in ‘Business and Organisation’ you can choose between the course Business Organisation or International Trade and Logistics in the third grade.

STUDENT PROFILE

Thinking and dreaming is nice, but you are a doer who makes decisions. You like to put the theory you learn into practice. Business and Organisation offers a broad theoretical basis: from accounting to sales communication, from economics to practical trilingualism. With all of this knowledge, you are ready to show your worth during corporate internships. In all of this, you like to keep an eye on the ‘pennies’ – income and expenses must add up!

Business and organisation is a dubbele finaliteit course. After the third degree, you can continue studying at college or university (e.g. a bachelor’s degree in logistics management or international business) or start working immediately.
